FOREVER

I haven't posted FOREVER! What is my deal? Probably that I'm lazy and don't have much to blog about. I am going to update this thing as much as I can but really there isn't much going on. To start off I have misplaced my camera so I have been taking pictures but can't find the camera to upload them..haha not surprised one bit. To start off where I left off, my brother Kendall graduated high school in May ( I know this is forever ago) and is now in Minnesota playing college baseball. We couldn't be more proud of him and he is loving every minute of it. I was fortunate enough to be able to take a week off of work and drive back with my mom and him to take him to school. I did take ALOT of pictures and we had a ton of fun. We went through seven states there and back and it was so much fun to visit places I have never been. We went to Mount Rushmore, Bedrock (come on you all have to know the Flinstones), the "Center of the Nation" and many more fun places. We drove a total of 48 hours and man was it long but fun! He is about two blocks away from the Canadian border so we were very far north. It gets about -40 degrees during the winter with about 6-10 feet of snow...crazy isn't he?!?!? He is having a blast and will be home for a visit very soon!!! We plan on going out there this spring to watch him play!! What a very ambitious talented person he is!!!!!
Another HUGE thing that happened this summer was Riley had the SWINE FLU???? Can you believe it? i never thought it would hit that close to home, boy was I wrong. It was the most miserable, frustrating, sad thing I have ever seen Riley be. The story is quite long so I won't ramble on about it but I will say I am so thankful he is ok. It really took a good month for him to be back to his normal self. Boy oh boy I hope it doesn't hit our home again.
Since I haven't updated for so long I really can't remember any other big things that happened the past 5 months. Riley coached football again and his JV team did really good. It just ended this weekend and now we will follow my brother Connor's team through the playoffs...good luck Toey!! Our niece Kambryn turned 1 and she is everywhere. She is walking like a pro and is so darn cute and funny!
So that brings us to Fall and I can't believe Halloween is right around the corner. Man how I love the holidays that are approaching and I am going to update this thing throughout them! Happy Fall Everybody!

Whew what a busy month!

I haven't updated...FOREVER!!! Sorry, alot has been happening and it seems like I never have a free moment. To start off Riley and I celebrated our First Anniversary!!!! How time flies when you're having fun!!! This past year has been filled with so much more love and excitement then I could have EVER imagined!!! I love you RY!!! To celebrate we went out to dinner and just hung out together!! Riley surprised me with a beautiful bouquet of roses and lilies!!

Baseball season has ended for my brother's so that means I have officially watched Kendall play his last highschool sport. What a bittersweet moment that I thought would have never came so fast! He has done our family so so proud in all his many accomplishments on and off the field!! They ended the season with an annual father son softball game. Since my dad was out of town big brother in law Riley stepped up to the plate in place of my dad!!! What a fun time they had and the fathers/brother in-laws WON...haha!

Riley at bat!!!

Connor at bat!!!

Kendall at bat!!

I can tell the weather is warming up because we are spending more and more time outside! We had the privilege to go to Lagoon to watch Jordyn compete in a dance competition! What a ham she is up there not taking her eyes off the judges with a smile from ear to ear the entire routine!! I am so proud of the progress she has made in one year!!! From weddings to fishing derby's we have been doing it all!! This past weekend for Memorial Day we went camping with Riley's family at Flaming Gorge!!! I love camping and it reminds me of when I was a little girl and all the fun memories I have!!! I hope we can continue this tradition with our own family one day!!! And last but definitely not least my BABY brother isn't a baby anymore!! He celebrated his 16th birthday last week and I can't believe it!!! He is pretty proud of his license and he should be!!!
Hope all is well with you all and I think spring is here with Summer following close behind!!!

P.S. I am getting better with pictures and I will have some more of graduation soon!!!

Nice week off

So I had another week off from work which is SO nice and it was such a great time!! Last Friday I finally got to meet my new little cousin Hannah and we went out to dinner with my dad's family at Iggy's!! We had so much fun it was so nice getting to see my Aunt and her family! We don't get to see them near as much as we'd like to so when they're here its so fun! Sunday my Mom cooked dinner for Riley's birthday and it was delicious as always! After that I got to do something I hadn't done forever and that was go and help my dad and brothers check on their calf to see if it was eating and not abandoned by its mom. I LOVE being a farm girl!! It was so much fun to just put on a pair of watering boots and be outside. Riley came along and he had alot of fun too I hope one day we can own some animals, if not we'll just go to my parents! Monday we celebrated Riley's 22nd birthday!! His mom made him dinner and then we ate birthday cake, we kept it pretty simple cause if you know Riley he didn't want to make anyone to go out of their way for him, he is so thoughtful. He got a new dutch oven (which is his new hobby and he's really good at it), gift card to Olive Garden, clothes, and we are getting new bikes!! Tuesday I was able to go out with some good friends and we went to the Britney Spears and Pussycat Dolls Concert!!! It was so fun and I have the best story! So we went to this concert mainly to just go do something so we weren't going to spend a fortune on tickets so we bought nose-bleed seats. So we rode TRAX up town, went and ate at California Pizza Kitchen (delicious), and then made are way over to ESA. We made the long walk up to the very top (literally) and were about to sit down when a worker asked us if we wanted to go down to the floor for the concert?!?!?!? We were a little hesitant at first but decided what the heck lets go!! So we ended up about 10 feet from the stage!! It was so much fun and very entertaining, what a great night! Friday I went to one of my brothers baseball games and they WON!! They have been doing really well with only losing one region game! I'm proud of them this is only the second year they have had the program so they are doing really well! Yesterday I spent the day with my hubby!!! Went shooting guns, out to dinner, tested out bikes down Wal Mart aisles (about peed my pants laughing at Ry) and then played Battleship, don't ask who won. I love my job and love that is gives me so much time off! Now the hard part will come tomorrow morning when I go back! Oh and I SUCK at remembering a camera anywhere we go so sorry about all the pictures...NOT. I will try and get better!

Spring has sprung!!!

WOW!! I just realized how long its been since I have updated my blog...oops!! First off let me wish two of my favorite people a VERY Happy Birthday!! Last week our adorable niece turned four and I can't believe how much she has grown up the last couple of months!! She has been so much fun to have in our family and we love her so much!!! She cracks us up and always keeps us on our toes!! Here she is posing for me in her adorable outfit getting ready for her party!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JORDY PORDY!!! Hope you had a GREAT birthday!

The next birthday just happens to be today and that is my amazing husbands! He is such a caring and fun person I am so glad I met him! We are having a dinner tonight for him and just hanging out!! I always tease him because I am older than him so that makes me wiser...wink wink but he is truly always thinking about me and wants me to be happy and taken care of!! Happy Birthday Ry I love you and hope you have a great birthday!!!

Since spring is here...cross your fingers...we have been enjoying the weather and spending time outside!! We are about ready to put in our sprinkling system and then grass!!! Riley has lots of projects he wants to get done so we'll see how it goes. I haven't been to very many baseball games because they have been cancelled or the weather has been not to my satisfaction but hopefully they won't get cancelled any more! I also think this picture is funny...take a look

Shouldn't the oldest be the tallest...not in my case! HAHA I guess as long as they know who's the boss that's all that matters!! Hope you all had a Happy Easter and bring on the warm weather!

Good as NEW!!!

SHE'S BACK!!!! My car is finally fixed!!! Its actually been back for almost a week, but I just had time to write about it!! I was very nervous to see if it would be the same and she looks better than before!! Thank you body shop!!! Also it must be baby season, I can't believe everyone is having there babies and to add to the list my aunt had her baby girl earlier this week!!! She is just a tiny little thing weighing 4 lbs 11oz, I can't even imagine how small that is. They are pretty sure they are going to name her Hanna but not positive!! I am so excited for them and probably won't see her for awhile since they don't live near by...sad. Congrats Rusty, Annie, and Bridger!! Another congratulations goes out to my little sister in law on being named Head JV cheerleader!!! This is so exciting for her and she will do a great job and have so much fun next year!!! Well not much more to say just off to a baseball game this afternoon to watch my brothers!! Hope you are all enjoying the weather and bring on spring!!

Already????

So for the past two weeks I have not been working due to the fact my boss decided he needed a vacation, not complaining one bit!!! But I can hardly believe that tomorrow I go back to work. Where did the time go? It seriously feels like I have only been off for the weekend. Doesn't it seem like when you want time to go by slow it flies by and then when you can't wait for an upcoming event time just crawls along? Man I hate it! The two week break was very needed though and I couldn't have asked for a more relaxing time off. I love to sleep in and took advantage of that and since I didn't have my car due to the deer accident I tried to avoid driving Riley's truck as much as possible so pretty much I just stayed home and I loved it!!! I did through a jewelry party which was really fun and had such cute jewelry!!! I can't wait until it comes!! I was hoping that I would be able to spend some time with my amazing hubby but he was busy working, which at this time I can't complain he has work!! I told him that in April I have another week off and I would really like to go somewhere for our anniversary!! I can't believe its been a year already! So maybe next months time off will bring more events but for now I am just dreading that alarm going off tomorrow morning!!!

What a week!!

So the past week has been full of many surprises most good but some bad. To start off Riley has been set on tearing out the two huge trees in front of our house so he could redo the landscaping. I'm not going to lie I was a little nervous about them coming down onto our roof. Luckily I can say we were successful in that not being the case. Once the trees were dug up he decided he neededto rip out all the grass as well, so now I have a yard full of mud every persons dream..not!! I don't know what has gotten into him but then he decided to have the septic system pumped and redo the water lines as well, his project not mine. So far everything is running smoothly and we just started our rock wall this morning. So Wednesday morning rolls around and we have a message on Riley's phone from our best friends saying that his wife went into labor early that morning and they were down at the hospital waiting to have her. I was totally freaking out because she was pretty much a month early and I was worried her lungs might not be developed. So at about nine that morning we received the call they had her and everything is perfect!!! They named her Kate Marie Smith and let me tell you she is one beautiful little girl. We couldn't be happier for them and I hope Kara gets feeling better since she had a C-section. Congratulations Dev, Kara, and Jake on your new arrival!!! So this past weekend Riley went to NASCAR and I went to cedar city to watch state basketball. Riley had fun and the two cars he bet on won the races!!!! To bad he couldn't have won back all the money he lost:(! The North Summit Boys basketball team took state and that was exciting to be there to see. So to end my week couldn't have been any worse. I went to my mom and dad's on Sunday to have dinner with them since Riley was still out of town and it was very yummy. I decided to leave around 6:30 so I wasn't driving home by myself late which I thought was a smart idea, that was until I was driving around the reservoir and Bambie's mom decided to jump over the guard rail on to my CAR!! I had no choice than to hit the deer because if I would have swerved and over corrected I could have landed in the lake or on the mountain. So yes my car which I have had since Sept. is at the body shop as of this morning. I was so so so upset and couldn't even talk to my dad when I called him for help. Luckily him, my mom, Brett, and Joni all came to see if I was OK because I didn't dare drive the rest of the way or get out to see the damage, I was pretty shaken up. So I am so so so mad my car is having to be fixed. I'm waiting back to hear about the damages and I'm not looking forward to the call, luckily for insurance I won't have to pay it all. So who knows how long it will be until I drive home in the dark for a awhile. I also informed my dad I will be getting a deer tag every year from here on out to take out my frustration!!!

I must admit

Ok I have come to a conclusion I have made a very big mistake. This is hard for me to say because it makes me feel horrible and I would have never seen this about 10 months ago. About this time last year was beginning to become very busy with my life. I was about to get married and our house wasn't done yet and everything felt very rushed trying to make everything complete by April 26. I should have noticed it then but I didn't and I feel very ashamed of myself, but my husband is truly amazing!!! I have never thought he was lazy but it just hit me how above and beyond he goes to make me happy. He remodeled our amazing house last year that I truly am in love with but its now the little things he does to make me realize how blessed I am to have him in my life!! I never imagined him helping me with the laundry, cleaning the house (especially the toilet), and being such a great provider to me. Not only around the house but this past wrestling season he has really stepped up and came with me to nearly almost every wrestling match even if he didn't want to and recorded the matches for my mom, which really helped her out. He is just such a willing and helpful person and I couldn't be any happier!! He's my best friend and I love him with all my heart!! So Riley please forgive me and I hope you know everything you mean to me!!!

Tears of joy and sorrow

This will be far the hardest post for me to write about so far. It is with much joy and anticipation I let you all know we have a 2x State Champion Wrestler in the family!!! We couldn't be more proud of Kendall and all the hard work he has put in to wrestling the past four years!! He's truly an amazing kid and deserves every bit of this accomplishment. I love you k-dog and have truly enjoyed every moment you have given us on and off the mat!!! Now comes the hardest part our little toey wrestled his butt off and just came short of placing at state this year. This is so hard for me to watch because he wrestled so hard and deserved something for it. He has worked so hard this year and I can say he has improved a great deal this year. He still has two more years to get what every wrestler wants and I know he has the determination to get there. I just can't believe I watched Kendall's last high school match and it couldn't have ended any better!!! I am just so glad I still have two more years with connor!! You two our my little studs, love ya!!!

Every once in awhile...

So I decided if I get one post in a month I am doing good. I can't believe it is already February. This month is packed full of anticipation with the conclusion of wrestling soon approaching. Kendall and Connor have both done an unbelievable job this year and we couldn't be more proud of them!!! This weekend we will be going to Richfield to watch them compete in Divisionals. They must place in the top 8 in their weight to make it to State the following weekend. We have high hopes they both make it and they both stay healthy. I will keep you updated on how they finish!!! Cross your fingers please... I will post the results Sunday!

Merry Christmas and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I finally had some time and decided it would be nice to update our blog...(I know, I know I'm not the best at this.) First of all let me tell you we made it through our first Christmas and I must admit it was VERY fun!!! Riley kept asking me decorate the house but when the time came he was quite the helper...NOT. It was very different, but fun decorating my own Christmas Tree! Here it is!!

I must admit the pictures don't do the tree justice...I actually love it so much it's still up!!!
Also this holiday season we went to temple square with some of my family and had a really good time!
